New capabilities help insurers increase no-touch claims automation while directing adjuster attention to the decisions and exceptions requiring human expertise
LAS VEGAS, NV, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Five Sigma, the AI-native claims technology company, today unveiled Adjuster’s Cockpit and Clive Claim Conductor, new capabilities designed to help insurers move toward no-touch and low-touch claims operations, where AI advances more of the claim while adjusters oversee the work and step in when their intervention is needed.
Cockpit and Conductor advance Five Sigma’s Automation First vision into its third stage, where AI takes greater responsibility for moving claims forward while people maintain oversight and control.
Together, Adjuster’s Cockpit and Clive Claim Conductor give insurers a new operating model for claims, designed to:
– Keep claims moving without waiting on an adjuster at every step: Conductor understands where a claim is in its lifecycle, focuses on the work required at that stage, and can advance the claim when the stage goal has been met.
– Direct human attention to the claims that need it: Cockpit gives claims teams a cross-claim view of automated claims, showing where claims are in the process and surfacing those awaiting human input or blocked from progressing.
– Give adjusters the context to make faster decisions: When human input is required, adjusters can review Clive’s recommendation, confidence and supporting explanation, then execute, edit or dismiss the recommendation.
– Automate within insurer-defined guardrails: Insurers determine which actions can execute automatically and use guardrails to stop actions that require human intervention, supporting both no-touch and low-touch claims handling.
– Expand automation at their own pace: Automation can be configured by action, sub-organization and line of business, giving insurers control over where AI can act and where human approval is required.
“The real transformation isn’t adding AI to existing claims workflows. It’s redesigning claims operations so AI takes the lead within defined guardrails, while adjusters supervise and step in when human judgment is needed,” said Gil Nechustai, Chief Product Officer of Five Sigma. “For insurers, this means applying experienced claims expertise across more claims, while reducing the administrative work required to keep routine claims moving.”
Beyond task automation
Clive Claim Conductor and Adjuster’s Cockpit are designed to move claims automation beyond individual tasks toward no-touch and low-touch claims handling. Conductor provides the orchestration that keeps a claim progressing through its stages, while Cockpit gives claims teams a single place to oversee that work across their portfolio.
When a claim can progress within the insurer’s defined rules and guardrails, it can continue without human intervention. When approval, an exception or human judgment is required, Cockpit brings the adjuster into the process.
This creates a continuous operating model in which the level of human involvement can vary by claim and action, rather than requiring an adjuster to be a mandatory step throughout the claims lifecycle.
Five Sigma will showcase Adjuster’s Cockpit and Clive Claim Conductor at ITC Vegas 2026, September 29–October 1 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Booth 3244.
About Five Sigma
Five Sigma provides AI-native claims management technology to insurers, MGAs, TPAs, reinsurers and self-insured organizations. Its AI-native architecture combines AI agents with the operational infrastructure of claims handling in a single system, so claims can be analyzed, acted on and advanced across the full lifecycle.
Five Sigma can be deployed to fit an insurer’s operating model: end to end as a complete claims management platform, or modularly to support a specific stage of the claims lifecycle or use case. In either deployment, Clive™, Five Sigma’s AI Claims Expert, combines agentic AI with the workflows needed to turn decisions into action. Clive automates routine tasks, dynamically plans claim handling and advances claims according to each organization’s operating procedures. To learn more, visit fivesigmalabs.com
