NEW YORK, NY – October 20, 2026 – Dark Passage Films has released the official trailer for Plucked, a 2026 movie that blends dark comedy with the social tensions of Gilded Age New York. Directed by Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent, this indie film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026.

The film stars Katie Vincent (Pickings, HomeBound), Jared Canfield (The Blacklist), Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black), J. Anthony Crane (Outer Banks), and Susan Gallagher (Cobra Kai).
Plucked opened the 2026 Manhattan Film Festival and has received recognition at independent film festivals, including Best Feature at the East Village New York Film Festival.

Set in Gilded Age New York, Plucked centers on Katherine Greene, who resolves to divorce her emotionally unstable husband. Her decision collides with a dinner party intended to preserve appearances. As secrets surface and tempers flare, the gathering descends into chaos, jealousy, and escalating revenge.
The film was produced on a reported budget of $300,000 and shot over 32 days at Woodbine Cottage, a historic 1873 mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. The production also sourced costumes from Ukrainian artists during the early months of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
With a runtime of 110 minutes, Plucked is scheduled to open in select theaters on November 13, 2026, followed by a video-on-demand (VOD) release on January 15, 2027.
